explain the darkness to me.

it’s dark because you are trying too hard.

each other’s pain

in sickness and in sickness. that is what i wish for you. don’t seek or expect miracles. there are no miracles. not anymore. and there are no cures for the hurt that hurts most. there is only the medicine of believing each other’s pain, and being present for it.

emblaze academy

There are currently 6,650 students on charter school waitlists in the South Bronx, a community in which fewer than one of every five students is currently on grade level in reading and math.

The students of the South Bronx deserve strong schools.

Because of that, I’m working as a founding member of Emblaze Academy— a proposed, tuition-free, college preparatory, public charter middle school expected to open in Fall 2018 in the South Bronx. We will have small group supports for all students, a longer school day and school year, strong partnerships with families, and all of our students will go to college.

Please click here to support Emblaze Academy and the children of the South Bronx. This petition is part of our approval process & we need to collect 500+ signatures.
